Anyone feed their RTC/TSNs anything interesting?

Some of those places have live frogs and turtles here too but they are kept in pretty bad conditions so I'd be leery about feeding them to my fish. They could pass on some type of sickness.

Yeah when they have bullfrogs it's a ten gallon tank with no water and frogs basically piled on top of each other. Last couple times I've been there they had a sturgeon in a tank with its head stuck in one corner and it couldn't even stretch out, tail pressed in the opposite corner. I'd be hesitant to feed anything live from the Asian market but they have a great selection of frozen or fresh fish and shellfish.

I wouldn't go for bullfrogs from market, they're meant to be skinned and cooked for a reason lol I would go to the LFS and buy some frogs from them, just make sure the species isn't poisonous

Feeding live is always a risk, even if you take most of the reasonable precautions like MonsterMinis does. It reduces the risk but does not eliminate it at all IMHO. Many would disagree and that's ok, to each their own.

Feeding live fish is illegal in UK, for instance. http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/f...g-live-fish-is-illegal&highlight=live+feeders Not that it is easily enforceable.

Bullfrogs are known to carry tapeworms.

I try to freeze everything I give my fish that can carry parasites transferrable to fish.

Sturgeon? I'd get it for a pet! :)
