anyone from missouri around st louis area?

There are two good fish stores in and around STL that I'm aware of. One is Beldt's which is in Hazelwood. They have decent stock, but most of their employees are uninformed or jerks. A few are cool though. I've never had a problem with a fish I got there, except the time I bought some mollies that the guy told me were particularly fat males. Two days later, I had a couple dozen baby mollies. I've never seen a male fish have babies before, so I think the salesperson may have been mistaken on that one.

The other good fish store(and my favorite) is Nemo's in Pontoon Beach, IL, but they recently had a fire and were closed the last time I was there a few weeks ago. They have good employees and good stock, despite being a pretty small shop. If/when they reopen, you should check them out.

Like the rest of you, I'm all ears for a decent fish store in the area. Surely there must be good places I don't know about.

PS. also stay away from Fin & Feather in Bethalto, IL. I'm told the owner is knowledgeable, but every time I go there, it's this girl who knows nothing and they have tanks full of dead fish. That's usually a bad sign.

akimbo, write your message in the message box, not the title box.

Anyway I haven't been to tropical world either, but I definitely plan to. I'll try anything at this point, since there's not many options.

I Live in granite city , The best LFS I have seen around here was Nemo's but since the fire I have been trying to find some decent shops also
