sounds like awesome setups I’d love to get a pair of lyonsi someday. I’m in the process of getting more tanks. Looking for 75s to 125s I currently have a 180, 125, 3 55s, 46 bow front my topaz are in and a 10. Waiting on the dollar a gallon sale at petco for some 75s.

building three rows of rack in the basement

the goal is to breed Cubans, festae, green terror, red dovii if I can get a male or play around with making hybrids with the jag and red dovii, red tiger motas, ornatus, and I have a group of 9 redhead tapajos and 9 albino threadfin acaras coming tomorrow or the next day.

Hoping to fill some mom and pops pet stores with some good cichlids and sell online. That’s the long term goal. If all goes to plan I’m just trying to build some connections locally of people who breed to get them involved if I’m successful.

I have a srt male I’ll probably have to sell since he won’t coexist with anything I have. Really nice fish. If you know anyone interested let me know.

I drove all over Massachusetts in 2016/2017 grabbing $75.00 75’s at that sale.

40breeders are another good deal.
They also now carry a 60gallon which is a shorter 75.

I’ve were going back to stacking tanks I’d do 75 on top 60 on the bottom- for more working room.

You may be interested in checking out The Northeast Council of Aquarium Societies. This is an organization of fish clubs in the Northeaster part of the country. One of the things the NEC does is to hold an annual weekend convention. This year is is again online due to Covid. it is normally a live event held in CT.

You can find their list of the 32 regional member clubs here https://northeastcouncil.org/affiliated-members

The group is very heavily African rift lake focused.

A benefit of being in this group is being able to get fish from Oliver Lucanus @ Below water
