Anyone had any experiences with fish tuberculosis in humans?

Heather, all the bacterial info creeps me out. but never cease to be amazed at my usual cavalier attitude while working in tanks, nonetheless. Lol.

I've actually had this disease myself about 4 years ago.

Horrible disease, misdiagnosis makes it awful - i was very fortunate that my first appointment with a dermatologist and she asked if i had any fish, it all fell into place from there.

It takes a really long time because the bacteria is naturally slow-growing, so many of the antibiotics that normally attack multiplying cells don't work as well. Could easly require months of prescription treatment.
