anyone had this problem

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i know it should be 14kg of salt but that seams a hell of a lot to me

i have added 5kg now and will add more in a few days with 10kg being the max

after adding the salt and esha 2000 yesterday the male p14 seamed to pick up a bit

i also cleaned out the 1st part of my sump with the jap mat and the 2nd part with bioball just in case

will let you know how they are doing later today

Hope there ok in the end. Lots of advice given.

Just a note, I used kazuri wormer plus on a sick motoro with parsites, It died 30 hours later.

Worked a treat on thinbars however , which were breathing really heavily.

Adrian ive used that wormer on rays fine. Think you were just unlucky with that fish.

Richard, if your sure your system is 1000g (im not convinced) then 14kg is exact dose.

0.014 grams per gallon, im actually gonna stick that in mine today, i'll put half in tonight and half tomorrow. When ive done it before with Henlei they seemed to like it.

Re kazuri... I think your prob right. The retic was totally fine during treatment.

well i have 10kg of salt in now rays still seam the same the male does swim about a lot more than before and goes to jump on prawns when they land on him but no intrest in eating them

the leo and marble are still doing great with no signs of it

the 2 females hardle ever move

the esha has also been in for 2 days now

i dont know what else to do now

im going to up the temp to 90 then not much else i can do

hi rich . sorry to hear they arent much better. not sure what increasing the temp will do other than possibly affect the oxygen content ? .

if the rays are interested in the prawns thats at least something but they dont have prawns that often do they ?

i have a couple of packs of massivor thats several months old that your welcome to if you think there is a batch problem.

hope the rays pick up mate , keep us updated

the salt will be fine rich it will help the breathing of the p14 and aid any stress problems it also helps with pollutants if any

i would suggest that you recalibrate the ph sensors as the tds levels will have shifted quickly and may upset the ph probes

will call tomorrow

i have been using test kits as well for the Ph and the prob is only a little bit out 0.2

i know it was mentioned that it is water conditions but if i have tested for all the normal par meters then how can anything be wrong does it mean that their could be a problem with everyones water that is not indicate with normal water tests

High temps can help with parasites and increase appetite. But in my experience you need to be looking a bit higher than 90f to get the best results.
