Anyone has Blood parrots community tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I currently have the tank divided cause my little jing kang is small enough to fit in the titaniums mouth but normally I have 6 blood parrots the fh and some kubotais and clown loaches happily in this size aquarium. Many wc's are needed for this tank!

clipping the tail off is mor like cutting the arms off a person. they both adapt to it but they have to work harder. dont get the heart shaped ones, if the heart ones are selling they will keep cutting off the tails.

I have a 120 parrot community. 10 parrots, a banded leporinus and some cory cats. (don't mind the blue zebra in the pics, she's just in there temp as her tank sprung a leak)

Some of the individual photos are of them in their old 55 before I moved them.

I did what one person suggested and looked around at various stores to find different parrots (undyed). I have 4 bright orange, 2 pale orange, a yellow/white, a blood red, a "tiger striped" for lack of better wording, and a baby grey/silver I'm waiting to see what will turn into.

The orange with the black is that colour permanently...it's not stress spots. He's been that colour since he was tiny and is about 5" now.

The white/yellow has the same colouration of a gold severum and even has a less pronounced bump than my others, so I'm not sure if he is a different hybrid or what. He also has blue eyes.

I'll post a pic when I can but have 11 parrots (4 which are heart), 2 silver sharks, 2 convicts, 11 loaches, 6 L number plecos and a large red gibicep.

Everyone that comes to my home loves the parrots...they are so responsive. There is so much bad press about them but it's all nonsense...they make wonderful pets!
