i have a 55g tank and i want to house one or two crested geckos in it. i was thinking of making part of the tank under water, like a 18" section of the 48" length a fish tank with a little filter, some plants and fish. i would section it off with a piece of acrylic and use silicone to prevent water water from seeping into land part. i was thinking of something like this(of course there would be more plants in the tank)

make the land abit lower, and your laffin. dunno whether cresties can swim though.. or how much humidity they can take..?

maybe a day gecko i really dunno. Anoles? I'm not familiar with geckos that can swim sorry.

I've done something similar with golden geckos. Just make sure they have something to pull themselves onto if they get in the water.

Thats what I did, I used a pothos plant, they grow well in damp conditions. I had it growing over into the water with a piece of driftwood next to it. Pothos are poisonous though, keep that in mind if you ever plan on adding anything herbivorous.

Golden Pothos, aka Devil's Ivy, are not as dangerous to reptiles as they are to mammals. I would use a Wandering Jew, commonly sold under the name Inch Plant, instead as they are hardy and not as toxic to consume.
