Some other plants that would do alright with things... not sure about all of them being in water mind you lol.
Bromeliads (Guzmania, Vrisea, Neoregelia, Achmea)
Dischidia (Ovata, bengeliansis)
Ferns (lemon button, maidenhair some others)
wondering jew
Ficus pumilia (many varieties available)
mother inlaws tongue (for the phelsuma)
begonia sp
some orchids (depending on size) ludisia do well in vivariums
Some types of tropical cactus rhips???
Moss (java ricicia)

Inch plant is good, quick grower (supposedly an inch a day ;)) is as cheap as anything. Nice white flowers too.

I've done something similar with golden geckos. Just make sure they have something to pull themselves onto if they get in the water.

do you have any pics. someone on a gecko forums with a similar tank said he's seen his crested geckos swimming in the water

let alone the lizards drowning silicon and acrylic dnt bond well let alone wen its acrylic to glass bond.

Sorry, no pics, this was about 8 years ago.

I've done a cage like this only it was for Basilisks, which love water. I'm not sure of many geckos who will benefit from a tank set up like this. I'll see if I can find some pics.

maybe a day gecko i really dunno. Anoles? I'm not familiar with geckos that can swim sorry.

ALL lizards and snakes can swim. :]
Some not too well, but they can.

It is more of the fact... if they can get out of not. I am more of a fan of a slanted shore with siliconed gravels than a vertical glass barrier for that reason.
