Im curious if anyone has any dovii from Lake Arenal and wouldnt mind sharing. Im interested to see if theres any differences between the other collection points. I saw that Rapps had them on his list. Please share any info or pics:)

I don't own it but here is an overhead of a male that I saw while staying at Arenal. This one was a beast but there was another big male that was a good 4 to 5 inches larger. He was HUGE.

Sorry for the small pic size. I don't know how to make it any larger without reloading it onto the computer.

He looks great for a top shot. Is there anything that sets them apart from Nic's or other Costa Ricans?

I was curious as well. Hey Jason I sent Jeff a message to post a pic of the Arenal Dovii. I am thinking about buying a pair.

great pic, i should of went to arenal like originally planned, is the lake pretty clear? nice pair....

I would be interested too but if they are suppose to get bigger I wonder how much bigger anyone know if the world record is from there?

I've been told by a collector that the arenal strain is the gold gold strain. Rapps has them listed as blue wolves so I'm thoroughly confused. Nevertheless, I might have to get some. I mean, I've got wild Higueron, Heredia, and Nicaraguan strains so how could I not get the arenals? :grinno:

I just bought a pair from Jeff, and he sent me a couple pics but that was just a couple. I've googled them and came up with some more pics, but we all know how Google is when it comes to fish pics and they aren't really able to distinguish the difference between most fish.

From the pics Jeff showed and the one or two I saw on Google, they seem to be big bodied and have really nice colors. But I still would like to see more for better comparison. I know either way it is still a Dovii nonetheless, but I'm interested in the finer details:)
