I don't know what size tanks all of you have, but if we get a quake here in the midwest that's strong enough to move my 220g tank, there is very little any strap or brace will do to help secure it.

That was a 7.0-7.5 on the ricter scale and I lost a drop of water and the tank moved about 1/4 inch on the stand. I figure the weight in water is enough to really keep the tank from shifting. Since then I really don't pay it to much attention. After an 8.0 quake, if the house falls on the tank theres not much I can do about it.
