Basically the apartments I'm moving to have no sixlze limit for tanks.. I want to get a 180 but I'm on the 4th floor? Floor seems to still be concrete... should I be worried about it going through the floor?

Concrete floor? I probably wouldn't be too concerned with a 180... Just make sure your insurance covers any mishaps and of that you're allowed a large tank

I would peel back some carpet in a closet and confirm what the floor is. If it is concrete, I would go for it.

Id say as long as your able to keep it in your apartment per your lease, you should be ok. Get some renters insurance if you don't already have it.

If it were mine I'd probably stick it in a corner or along a wall, and build a stand with a solid bottom as opposed to one with 4 or 6 "legs" ..... but I'm just weird

Remember even concrete can be unlevel, I'd still take the same precautions that one would take with a wood floor

I have already peeled a bit of carpet up and it is indeed concrete. My room is on the corner of the building and the tank would be going in the corner where both of the outside walls come together. The stairs and outside walk are all concrete as well. And the stand does run across the whole floor instead of being on legs.

Get it in writing the apartment is ok with a tank that size. When most people think fish tank they think 1-20 gallons on a desk. I'd hate to damage the floor and be held liable.
