I would suggest adding more filtration as well look into a good canister. Also cut back on the amount you are feeding your fish this should help. Welcome to MFK.
Wow thankyou to everyone for the help!!! I did cut the feeding back quite a bit (usually only 2 times weekly). I was out to get some plumbing for my sterilizer and found a submersible UV sterilizer from aa-aquarium. Much cheaper than the previous one, comes with a 24 watt light and intergrated power head. Looks nice?? Anyone ever hear of it? Thanks again for everones help.
If I is, I have 2. If you use them as is, the tiny sponge prefilter on them clogs up almost instantly. I rigged mine up to run reverse with fluval 2's powering them. I got a length of plastic tubing that just fit over the exhaust of the fluval 2's and pushed it in to the port where the powerhead would suck from the uv housing. It works well.
