Or maybe something where you take the brain of a cat/dog and insert it to the robot so u will always have ur best friend. Then humans can do the same much later on once we master dogs and catd.

I still prefer real animals as pets... plus i don't think that with current tech A.I will be able to replicate emotions properly in the near future... and even then, i think i'd still prefer the real thing over some machine...

I'm not suggesting that these examples take the place of real, live animals the fish screams dovi tankmate. imagine the bird with an HD cam. Imagine all the beverages and other items a robotic dog could/would fetch. I'll save the emotional attachment for live animals. Meanwhile I can become more productive and entertained.
