Anyone here keep hedgehogs as pets?

Whats wrong with a leopard gecko? They are somewhat kid friendly.

Wife doesn't like reptiles.

It's already a miracle that she's even considering another pet aside from my fish.

that's too big. I was offered a stunted miniature horse for free before. Too cute but I had to pass.

don't get a ferret they are mean and they bite...don't get a gerble they smell and are pretty much oversized hamsters...get a hedgehog my friend used to have one and they a so kid friendly they stay small and aren't always noctornle when ever i went overr to my friends house we would walk into his room and there his hedgehog would be walking all over his cage like it was midnight...the best thing to get is a hedgehog.

Gerbils smell? I read they don't have that "rodent" smell.

any animal that is kept in a very clean cage wont smell......when my gliders cage was cleaned every other day i had no smell what so ever...

It was so cute. it was about height of a Lab but the body is not as long.
