I have read that they get this large in a aquarium, I currently have one that is approx 5-6 inches, and if he gets larger I would put it in a 125 gallon tank w/ ca/sa cichlids. So far I have not seen any pics larger than the one I currently own.
anyone here with a senegal over 12 inches?

I'm sure there's quite a few owners of 12" Senegal. They grow quickly and are fairly common. Mines is already past 7".
I would be careful putting in a Senegal with Cichlids, at least any aggressive ones, they like to nip at the fin spines of Bichirs.

Any senegal claimed to be over 12'' i want pictures of against a tape measure before I believe it but thats just me-Anne
i've only seen pics of a 12'' once
mine will hopefully reach that big but its only 9''-10'' and a year and a half old
