anyone here with a senegal over 12 inches?

I'm sure there's quite a few owners of 12" Senegal. They grow quickly and are fairly common. Mines is already past 7".

I would be careful putting in a Senegal with Cichlids, at least any aggressive ones, they like to nip at the fin spines of Bichirs.

From my experience, cichlids, even aggressive ones, work quite well with bichirs. Mine have always ignored them.

Bought one at 10" and grew it out to 11" now. To date I've yet to see another senegal that size.

Any senegal claimed to be over 12'' i want pictures of against a tape measure before I believe it but thats just me-Anne

Mine is around 8.5" to 9" won't let me get a measuring tape shot will try thou.

Question for those of you who have senegal around 10-11" are they males or females?
