Anyone in the UK spotted this deal on AC?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea...if you are willing and afford to buy it then just buy it....ofcause you need to have proper home for it.
seriously the price is almost in line with SG price as mention by the SG friend above- consider quite fair.

Sorry, not very good with uploading pictures or taking them but here's a few more taken over the last couple of months..
Don't forget the Flagtail is available too.
Possibly the Hoplias aimara but may be keeping that beast!

Nice bars on those fish! You'll regret this Andy...Lol
The tiger den is closing down..

they are very nice i just dont think i could pay that much for them.
but it does come down to wether you are willing to pay it not me

This price discussion always amuses me.
People are happy to pay £500 - £1000 for a run of the mill farm bred Aro, £20 000 and above for a "special" one but something which is still farm bred and selectively bred at that - hence all the deformities you get.
These Datnioides are 100% as nature intended them to be and nothing I know of comes close.
Of course, thats entirely down to personal preference/choice.

i agree that ST price is about bang on but i think the IT price is a bit on the expensive side - i realise that one of them is the largest in the UK (most probably) but inline with the £10 per inch rule your probably looking at around the £250 mark.

i agree with the farm bred issue - asian aros are ridiculous prices....

i agree with the asian aro price scheme also, as ade said it is what the fish is worth to you and i have to say these are absolutely remarkable fish, infact im very fond on tiger fish and these make me feel like a little child.

I think we will need to have a chat further about this andy ;)

You're not too far away, come and visit - have a coffee, have a look at them with absolutely no pressure but be warned, one Indo has now gone and I suspect I'll keep one or the other of what is left.
I don't mind if they sell or not, the priority for myself and the better half (you will be vetted I warn you, ask Ade!) is that these fish will be very well looked after.
Interesting thread, not sure what category this should be under now?
