  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nothing to you man.. Just I see alot of bad comments being said here. Alot of info scaring people away from doing stuff. Thats all

what bad info....Im encouraging someone to do something that i feel is best, because i have done it and the way i did it worked, so chances are it would work for someone else. Jus cuz ud rather buy a vehicle built already, doesnt mean its best, or works for the next person, i was just sharing what i thought, if you think thats bad im sorry, but there is a point in it.

Did until I snapped a front axle on my Bronco. Cost was close to 900 right before Christmas couple a years ago. Stopped playing so much since then.

PS, tongue nice to hear someone wheelin something besides a Jeep, i can honestly say your the only person i know who wheels a 92 explorer, Nice to see a change!

What do you have done to your truck bigred?

its got a 4.0 stroked to a 4.6 (stock tranny). Clocked Dana 300 (twin stick), dana 60 front, Full floating 14 bolt rear locked with a detroit locker. H1 beadlocks, 2 inch BDS Springs SOA, Hi steer, only 35 inch tires right now, once the thing is running, its getting 39 inch military tires.

did everything myself cept bore the motor (lack of machining eqip.) but i put it together myself. When i bought it, it had a 2.5 and only a shackle lift...My plans are NP435 or SM 465 tranny, OX locked front, 1 1/4 body lift, tummy tuck skids, super charger, maybe direct port nitrous injection hahaha

I would still never buy a lifted Jeep, the average lifted jeep (4 inch 32-33's) have jus suspension lifts and often have seriously worn parts. If someone wants to take the easy way and buy a heavily modified vehicle that was built by someone else, then im sure they will save money, but they also dont know how their vehicle works, and may not be prepared if something happens unexpectedly.

Not to totally start an argument but just because you're buying a previously lifted vehicle doesn't mean you have to be immune to how your truck works/how it's been lifted/etc. A little bit of research and some QandA will tell that buyer alot. Anyone can be un-prepared whether you lifted it yourself or bought it that way.

Just because you personally didn't build it doesn't mean someone else didn't know what they were doing when they did.. ya know..

you usually get what you pay for (less you steal it)

and saving $$$ usually usually means $pending more of YOUR time fixing/moding and less time operating the vehicle having fun.

new parts are easier to put on than fixing rusty old major components.

unless you have free acess to a nice shop.

:) Not for allot of Crawler hobbiest :) Driving is only half the fun for them.. Building gets them HIGHER from what I've seen than just driving/...

I just buy old and ruin :) I am usually only prepared to walk dig or sleep wherever I get stuck. I work to get stuck with my wife :D

I usually help allota people though... My Bronco gets around pretty good.. But most people diggin in the snow and mud with Exploders learn really quick that it is easier to keep it movin if you drop the air pressure in your tires half way:)
