thanks for digging my thread up.. Those were 3 of my favorite amphilophus I ever raised. Still can't believe I sold them for $10 each.. :screwy: Red devils are just too hard to sell for $ when ugly ones are a dime a dozen everywhere else.

I remember arguing wether or not yours were just peeling or not LOL. I ended up losing and coming to terms that you just had a piebald. I've never seen another fish like yours. As long as he was from a reputable source and not hybrid I still find it rare to find a male like you had.

Honestly I hate to be the one to point it out but your Midas' don't look like Midas. Just because someone bred F0 Midas to Midas/RD mix or RD don't make them F1 Midas. Just look at the lips and how long their snouts are.
