Anyone into kung fu movies??

Wow, a year later I have over a hundred martial arts titles! Ive switched things up a little, currently Im into Japanese Karate, specifically Bruce Liang!! This guy is bad!! I wrote this guy off as a fake Bruce Lee, but I was missing out. Ill even say most of his fight scenes are waay better than Bruce Lees. BLiangs awesome Goju Ryu Karate is a refreshing change from chinese kung fu. BLiang also has many great chinese kungfu scenes, he has practiced Wing Chun for some time also, but have yet to witness his Wing Chun fist. Here is a clip from a movie making its way to me right now called Black Belt Karate. If Im not mistaken this scene is with his brother. Some may recognize him from Kung Fu Hustle, I havent seen that movie myself.

I'd never heard of the name before, but I do recognize him from Kung fu Hustle. If you haven't seen Kung fu Hustle, it's gold. Very animated though.

Yeah Kung Fu Hustle is hilarious.Normally I don't care for slapstick and silliness in martial arts films but I was glad I gave this a look.

Ive been still watching lots of Bruce Leung. This guy is awesome at kungfu and karate! He has 40 years of kungfu movies under his belt and still goin! I thought this was a cool clip of him a couple of years ago, at 60!!

There is a movie that is out in selected theaters here called Tai Chi Zero..I don't know much about it but I think it is a new release and Samo Hung did some work in production. Some well known martial arts film stars are said to have parts in the film.

Saw it yesterday and it was pretty good.I recommend it to the regulars of this thread.Look it up,see if it is playing anywhere near you and check it out.

Thanks for the recomendation Krich! Ive never heard of the film, but Tai Chi Zero should be easy to remember! This weekend I got Hapkido, AKA Lady KungFu. Its the first movie Ive gotten featuring Hapkido and also with a female (Angela Mao)in the starring role. I was a little apprehensive, but Angela did not dissapoint! The movie was great and the fighting was awesome! In the movie there were a lot of legendary Hapkido practicioners, and it was cool to find out Angela being a 3rd dan blackbelt in Hapkido actually outranked most of the cast martial arts wise, including Samo Hung (1st dan) and Bruce Leung 2nd dan Karate!!

Hapkido is one of the disciplines that i wanted to learn.

Yea? After seeing some of it here and there, I can really understand where Samo gets his repertoire of moves from, alot of it is Hapkido. It took me a min to figure out why I liked his kungfu so much, its he mixes a lot of different disciplines together. Its not too late krich, if you have the time, you and your son may enjoy it?

Yeah I know but I would have to find a place that's not too far from me,the schedule is tight as it is with his schooling and all..There used to be a few around here actually and I looked into some of them but never committed to any.
