Was that based on a comic book?

Not that I'm aware of.There is one really funny scene where Ricky punches his fist right through a guy's body and innards and pulls out some of his intestines.

Oh ok, I just saw the drawings in the trailer and figured its where is came from, but i guess they were just concept/story boards... Looks like its worth a watch/laugh, but I often enjoy the original comic/book more (when there is one).

I saw the "punch through the gut" in the drawing, looks sweet!

Yeah I know what you mean.Ricky is a good watch for the laughs at the over the top, exagerrated violence it has throughout the film.I might have to dig it out and dust it off.

Whoa!! The chinese Incredible Hulk!! I always wondered about Louis Fan Siu Wong's earlier work. Aside from Master Ip, he was my favorite character in the Ip Man series!! This is one of my favorite scenes. Props to Sammo putting that scene together.

Speaking of IP Man, I decided to go and order the 3rd Ip Man. I have heard nothing but negative comments about it, but I just found out Yuen Biao is in it and He is another of my all time favorites. He and Sammo have put so much awesome stuff together in the past, specifically Wing Chun stuff, I think this may be the perfect context. I know I'll get something out of it. As much as I HATE blindfolded scenes, here he is with Sammo, It's still cool to see the OGs still relevent.

Where did you get it from?..If you ever come out this way you have to check out Asian World of Martial Arts....

Awesome place. It used to be located in Chinatown but they moved to a bigger building in another part of the city.Anything martial arts related can be found there, all of Bruce Lee's books and they even have film footage of him teaching the basics of his JKD tranferred to DVD.

Chinatown in Philly? A couple of months ago, I picked up a dvd on JKD in a used bookstore. Supposedly it is the only JKD training guide put out by Bruce Lee himself, on JKD. If I remember correctly it wasn't Bruce teaching his techniqes, it was Dan Innosanto going over Bruces' ideas about martial arts. I remember I got it for like $3!

Yeah in Philly, that location was classic. It had these big storefront windows on either side of the front door with all kinds of displays in them. There was full suit of samurai armour and a Bruce Lee manequin complete with the Game of Death tracksuit... Good deal on the DVD.They have or had,I've not been there in a while,a few volumes of the instructional discs,it's almost like a set.I don't know if the one you have is part of it but Inosanto work very closely with Lee so I wouldn't doubt it.I have always wanted to purchase a few of the discs but have yet to get around to doing so.
