Anyone into metalcore?

Good thing for me i like so many types of music. i like old atreyu cause used to play great live shows, kse is great, cannibal corpse is comin next sunday and def gonna go see them, also like august burns red, but than i like hardcore like bring me the horizon or day to remember i am def not picky, i mean i walk around wearin a outkast shirt but u get in my truck youll hear lamb of god or etc. so its funny.
 
i never said anything bad about opeth, i mean i dont like them but thats my opinion, you may like them thats fine by me. all i said was that i dont understand why anyone would post a thread just to try to say that something is crap, when other people my not think so. i mean who cares
 
btw, on a side note, pm me if you want a link to a really funny opeth vid. i would embed here but i can't remember if there is language in it that would get me infractions. im sending it to you now rmorse

I really really REALLY hope you did not just say Opeth rips off of other bands, seeing as they pretty much invented a genre.


No, the point of the thread was to find out if you guys thought that Atreyu was ripping off of In Flames.

And no, I don't think that b/c I don't like a band, that means they are crap. I think metalcore is crap b/c it is all the same *****, over and over again, the same chords, the same vocals, the same drumming.


That being said, I have only heard about a dozen metalcore bands, so maybe I haven't been exposed to the good ones. I will check out the couple ones swede told me too, after I am done playing Halo with my friend...
 
i really wouldn't give atreyu the credit of being able to rip off old in flames cuz they can even play old in flames. i will say that in flames greatly influenced a lot of the sounds you hear in bands that have emerged within the last few years. dark tranquillity, soilwork, sentenced among others all have that "gothenburg" sound

No, you weren't clear, because your thread title is "Anyone into metalcore?". Naturally, people will answer whether they like metalcore or not in this thread - even though you hate it.

what I think?

I don't even need to listen to the songs to know that atreyu has used their riff or whatever or atleast built of it.

As a greatman once said

"this music is like "we want to sound angry, but we can't play instruments"

^My music teacher after having to sit through 3 mins of absolute crap because one of the scene/wannabe kids played to him.

call me ignorant about alot of things, hell, call me ignorant about my choice in the music I listen to. But do not call me ignorant in the subject of music itself, cause that is my talent lol.
