LOL,nanners....The reddish colored ones I cut off at ground level and dig up the tubers/roots and leave them in a bucket with a little soil.Replant in the spring.The other one I dig up,transplant to a pot and bring inside to sit in front of a window.

Why not just leave them in the pot year round and just move them in and out??
 
Gives me stuff to do and keeps me from in front of the tv...I have plenty of the red and green ones if you want any.....

I guess I could but they grow so big and showy I like the way they look coming up out of the ground.My house sits on a pretty big yard and they are a big part of my DIY landscaping.I have two big clumps on both sides of my driveway entry but they did not grow as high this year.
