Anyone have these type of Geckos?

Could you please give some advice/info like lighting, humidity, diet, etc. My LFS/LRS has a few in stock and thinking of setting up a vivarium with a few of these fellas.

If your gonna do it make shure you do it seriously as this guys are quite rare and it would be a shame not to try to bred them as they apear to be easy to:D Ive never keept them :(but have kept years ago a few day geckos and this guys are very similar to them. You have some previus herp experience rigth? This aint the most dificult to keep out there but they are no begginer species;)

That is why I keep pets.... To see if I can give them as good a home or better than in the wild and if all goes well, breeding occurs!!!!! That is the true reward when you see babies! And plus it will help pay for my initial investmest.

Never kept Geckos, Frogs, or anything of that nature;). I have recently decided to setup a vivarium and try my hand with a few of these guys. Although I have not purchased the animals nor any equipment yet, still researching and plus my LFS just got a few in. They said they will hold them for two weeks if I pay for them now. Not sure what to do yet, and not sure when they will get more of these fellas in stock. But I do believe I can have everything setup and have enough knowlegde retained in the two weeks they will hold them for me. BTW, they are selling for $100 each, is this a decent price??? I seen a company in Florida with pairs for sale for $350.

they are NOT day geckos but they ARE similar
feed them small crix and day gecko diet,
try to get a tall tank they are arboreal and like to bask on branches in the sun(if u have access to bamboo get some chutes and put them in these guys will love it

and im pretty sure for 100 each is a good deal

Well your hearth seems to be on the rigth spot as far herps go, I however would rater that got your feet wet with something a bit simpler to keep;) They need all the basic day tropical small lizard stuff: Uv ligth, basking ligths, a ceramic bulb with termostat for nigth heat, big vertical cages with lots of branches, plants ,cork, alot of moist, daily misting, etc. These aint the easiest ones:grinno: Second one of the most important things for you to know is just how fragile they are, both the skin and the tail and fingers can be badly damaged if you grab them not speaking of stress, these are 100% hands of pets, to transport them put a small plastic over them a slide the cap over. Trird they are VERY territorial so you cant simply "put a few in a cage" because there is no garantee any two will get along no matter what they look in the store. First no more then one male for cage(easy to tell: Brigth blue:drool:) and its possible that no more then one female also, most day geckos are monogamus and any animal plus animal of the same sex will be chased and killed. But you must have 2 cages from the beggining because they may not get along even if a copple. Also consider the constant need of microfoods this guys need. Youll need daily crickets, small locusts etc. So This aint the easiest pet really:) If you want something similar but sturbier why dont you get a giant day gecko Phelsuma madagascariensis to get a more experienced before venturing to something more dificult?

Yup very similar;)

Thanks for the help coura! As much as I would like to get one now since they seem to be somewhat rare, I think I will wait and spend the mean time gathering info and setting up a bada$$ home for them. My LFS has crafted some real awesome setups with small waterfalls, live plants, foggers, etc, in old 90 gal and 125 gal tanks. That is what got me interested in the first place.

How often are these available in the US??? First time I've ever seen em' but I really haven't been keeping an eye out for them.
