anyone keep red severums?????

You might want to try to add some rock salt to your tank. That helps alot of times with new fish. Beautiful looking though.
thanks for the advice fivespeed.cant understand it though.the other 2 red severums arent swimming around in the tank.they are just staying still.one stays by the filter,and one hides behind a piece of wood.they dont want to eat,move,do anything really.
Its hard to say what is wrong. Alot of it depends on how long it was in the store before you bought it. If the fish have recently been imported, then they could be suffering from shipping stress. Most of the really nice cichlids like what you have either come from the far east or the Czech republic, which means that they have been through alot. When I had my store back in the day, I had to deal with that kind of problem alot. In the future, I'd recommend that you ask the retailer how long the fish has been in the store. If the answer is less than a week, be very cautious. The reason I recommended salt is that it helps with the shipping stress.
wow they look stunning polomax24.i found another one dead this morning.only have one left now.back to the lfs tomorrow morning to see what they say.
