Anyone Keep Scorpions?

From what I understand the bigger the scorpion the less deadly the sting. Is that correct

That is the rule of thumb but as with everything else there are exceptions so I would not trust that completely. Things like eastern bark scorps are tiny but do not have a bad sting and some thick tail scorps have slightly enlarged pincers and get pretty big and they can be deadly.

I like larger scorpions, but in my experience they're not nearly as fun to keep. For example, if you keep Emps the way they're supposed to be kept, you'll never see them. Also, their feeding response isn't as...enthusiastic. They tend to just clamp down on prey and rarely sting.

My preference is for the smaller, arid species. My favorite scorpion that I've ever kept was actually a WC Smeringus mesaensis, which is native to the US. It's always visible, highly active, fast, and has a spectacular feeding response. I think he cost me all of $2, if I remember correctly.
