Anyone kept asian marble/tiger ray

im wondering if anyone keeps any himantura krempfi from asia.

like this ...

any info? do they "pee" a lot like the atlantic freshwater stingray? or like normal south america ray ( im assuming those "pee" less since they are actually freshwater ?? xD dont know cuz im in california , dont have experience with those)

one vendor was selling a couple up to 15" .... how much bigger do they get? ._.

Just by body shape, it looks like a ray that would get pretty damn big.... Wish I could give you some better info

Don't know anything about them, but I know there was a vendor on another board selling several
different variants of Himantura. Including that one I believe.

ya i know bout that too, and since these are the only cali-friendly rays, im quite interested

Only legal ray that can be kept in Cali, if I recall correctly.

it's such a pain that they won't let us keep motoro and the such, been wanting a pair of motoro for the longest time. Will settle for these if they're affordable thogh.

the vendor was selling at a very reasonable price. and these arent bad looking at all , at least better than fw atlantic rays, but of course these cant be compared to S.A rays, but at least you can sleep soundly without having nightmares of F&g breaking in and confiscate ur ray. only thing i really wanna know is if they do that sw-> fw ray -> pee to remain homeostasis or whatever-> high ammonia thing
