anyone know anything about these things?

I was just wondering what they are, I didn't get them and most likely won't need them.

wasnt bashing you-------- i just seen a chance to bash bandaid products i'm a big fan of tank care and self contained systems and they do help in a emergency situation such as a filter failure

these are zeolite puches. its a natural mineral used to absorb ammonia. they work well in a general since but they take up alot of spae if you cant fit them in your filters. generally one pouch per 10 gallons.

I was told the one pouch per 10 gallon thing and just don't see the point in puttin 7 or 8 of them in a 75 gallon tank...seems kinda silly to me. but in a 10 gallon I'd almost consider tossin one in. thanks for the info everyone.
