I looked in my tank just now and my convict was swimming upside down, she was hiding in the rock pile upside down too...Any1 know why she would be doing this?
Maybe a swim bladder issue. I have never had a fish with it, but have heard it causes sideways and or upside down swimming. Hopefully someone with personal knowledge will come along.
It's a female convict so it's probably getting ready to lay eggs under there. My female convict that i used to have layed eggs everywhere in the tank and when there were no rocks in the tank she would lay eggs on the side of the glass. lol. she was the only convict in the tank too.
If not that, she's stressed from the gt but i highly doubt that.
I agree...probably about to lay eggs if not laying them. See if she guards the area later.

If it was a female (lots of orange on belly which this one has none), she may have been laying eggs all over the cave, but the convict appears to be male.... Swim bladder gone bad.
