If it was a female, she may have been laying eggs al over the cave, but the convict appears to be male.... Swim bladder gone bad.

It's a female. the first pic shows the red on the side of the convict. males also dont have that much blue on their fins.

Word. I didn't see any red. My male has blue and no red.

all female convict when in heat have the rainbow spots on the belly. males do not. since convicts are the rabbits of the water its pretty easy to tell all the time!!lol

i doubt the eggs will be fertilised as im sure the rivulatus cannot fit in there.

Are the eggs brown? if so you'll have wigglers is a few days.
