We're debating this so hotly lol. Like it actually makes a difference what OP's snail is.Shadowplec6 If possible, could we get a picture of the snail facing forward, facing side ways, a clear picture of it, and a picture out of water? I believe these pictures will help.
That may be, I might just have to wait awhile until I can get better pictures; this little stinker is pretty fast for a snail! I will have to catch him at a better angleI would highly doubt it due to what shape I'm seeing the shell as. Add to that the fact that as far as I'm aware of nerite snails aren't sold young, I've only seen adults sold. Given that they require brackish water to breed I doubt many places would even be able to breed them and the fact that you think it came in with other invertebrates would mean they would likely have been in brackish too means that it's unlikely since I don't see very many brackish invertebrates.
That is just my opinion though.
Try putting a piece of lettuce in the tank at night, spear it with a fork or something so it sinks, and in the morning he will likely be on it nibbling away. That's a little trick people use for getting rid of excess snails when snail populations explode. That may be, I might just have to wait awhile until I can get better pictures; this little stinker is pretty fast for a snail!
