My rhom has always had this white thickening on his caudal fin. It doesnt seem to bother him except in the last few days hes not eating-unusual for him but he used to eat like a pig even with this deformity. Not sure if it shows up in the pics but we'll see.

It just looks like his caudal is thicker than normal and unflexible with a couple of 2-4mm solid white things on it.

Yes he has a bad eye, always has had. Its getting better slowly.

heres a more definite pic of it. The multiple dots are now just one.

i'm not seeing anything on the caudal fin... maybe it's just the pics, when i blow them up, its just blurry.

Thats what ive been thinking jp but ich treatments dont get rid of it and the progression of it is slow at best hasnt affected anything else, just ate again obviously didnt want his favorite shrimp. Its only on this fin and his behaviour is normal hunting and patrolling as much as always chasing the fat molly that he can never catch. Shes learnt to jump out the water and land 2ft away at the other end of the tank.

I dont think hes dying but id like to get rid of it if i can. He seems otherwise healthy getting more diamond scales by the day.

see in post 3 the whitish edging on the caudal--wait im an idiot i mean adipose fin. how the hell did i get those mixed up. Must do better:screwy:

jp i doesnt seem to be lymphocytis as its not nodular a slight bulge at best. Has no rapid progession but maybe it is but none of his dithers are affected and having him there youd think the stress would cause them to get it.

yeah my pics are bad but he never stays still long enough. As i say its best in the last pic. The fin is thick and has a white bump on the trailing edge which is sometimes multiple small dots or as today one big one at least 4mm. Hes had this for ages and it doesnt affect him but id like to know what it is as it bugs me

if you blow up the last pic you can see the adipose is white and speckled, noticably so compared to the other fins. Its also more opaque than see through.
