Hes QT in a 29 gallon, ive tried salt, clean water, paraguard.

Water perams are fine.

Nothing is working

Looks like his fins are deteriorating with his scales turning pale.

Was there any fish with him previously or just on his own?
Looks to be a bacterial or fungal issue here.

Looks bacterial. Would dose some furan2 and kanamycin to cover for columnaris as well.

All fish he was with prior are completely fine. Ill have to pick up some furan2 and see if that clears it up.

I've seen columnaris decimate fish over a few weeks. And though it does look like it on his back tail.hes been with me for 6-8 weeks with this issue. If it was columnaris I think he would of been dead already.


Ill use furan2 see if it works first.

If you think about Furan2 from ApI I don't its being made anymore I've use Kanaplex from Seachem and that has worked pretty well. If you do find Furan 2 somewhere, let me know.

The only furan2 I found was an old expired box in the back of my fish medicine cabinet lol

The kannaplex worked well....its been 2 days and I just put in the 2nd dose... he's prob 90% percent back. He's doing great. Ill post some pics of him in the main tank later this week when he is fully healed.

If the kanaplex alone is working, then just treat for maximum dosage (total 3 treatments)

No I threw it away haha

I'm gonna do the max dosage of 3 doses.

All his leasions should be gone but im hoping his fins regenerate quick
