Anyone knows how to train it to eat pellets??

just let them know that what you are always throwing in there is food,you should trick him,me i throw dead guppies and pellets alternately till its just all pellets, I used hikari cichlid gold pellets
I concur with this but I have gone for 7 weeks before my C. maculata started to feed on carnivore pellets. Its no drama, I kept some large common driftwood cats which would readily devour any uneaten food and the snakehead would watch the catfish eat so it knew these pellets were food.Brucki;2072975; said:

If your fish is wild caught it may never eat pellet..
The best way i found to get a fish to eat pellet is to try
a few different brands of food.
If that doesn't work, you need to soak the pellet in a food
they like, like beef, shrimp or bloodworm.
When they get the smell of their favorite food they will
try it.
