theres two places in avon where you might want to look, Specks Pet Supply usually has discus and theyre usually pretty nice, and Safari gets stingrays in every now and then

Which specks? I've only ever seen bread and butter fish at the ones I've been to.

I used to live in Indy, try the reef, or uncle bills bring a water sample when going to the reef, the owner requires it for discus sales. The reef is the best lfs I've ever been to and I have lived all over the country

They have nice stock, but their prices are just insane. Red shoulder sevs for $150? :screwy: :screwy: You can get lucky and find a decent deal there once in a while, and I'll reiterate that they have good stock.

Specks has the crappiest discus. They are on a very tight budget and do not stock very much. The store has a new owner. Safari does not get freshwater stingrays in, only saltwater. They can special order a freshwater on in for you, but they are $100+...

I was going to reccomend uncle bills... they routinely have fish that are outside the "norm"

True for Uncle Bills about variety. My only complaint about them is there greenwood store tanks are often cloudy and have sick fish.

:iagree:

I was stupid and put some Geophagus from there in my tank with my tig, black aro, and ray.........sickness spread through the tank. Luckily I caught it, but that was the last fish I got there.
