Lets see it!

Here she is. '62 International Harvester Scout chassis, motor, front & rear posi and topped with I'm not sure what year Chevette body. She's ugly as hell and won't break any land speed records but she'll go through just about anything as long as you're not in a hurry!

Cool!

For some reason I had a picture in my head of the front half of a Scout body welded to the back half of a Chevette body... So it actually looks much better than I expected...

Been a while! I've been taking it slow on the body work and sanding. Finally got around to installing the hood vents. Boy what a pain in the ass that was. They do look cool though!

Dang Jose! Youre the only one Ive ever seen who does bodywork on their off road rig, it IS an awesome rig tho!! Those vents look great, and will definately help with underhood temps  Great work on the gauge panel also. Alot of my friends think an off road rig needs to look like a POS to be capable, guess not. No snorkel??

Ha thanks! Body work is only this time around since I removed the fender flares and had 34 holes to cover up! After that I won't worry too much about it. But I still want it to look good. This is not a rock bashed trailer queen that only sees dirt. I like to drive it around town, run errands, take the wife to dinner :) I'm going more for an expedition vehicle/zombie apocalypse war wagon vs a hardcore rock crawler.

Vents - yeah hopefully they help keep things cool. I can feel air blowing out from the fan at idle so the results should be good.

Snorkel - yeah that's on my list of mods, eventually. Up next I want to get a good on-board air compressor.

Gauge pod - Did I post pics of that? Can't remember. Here it is just in case. I used a gauge pod from an Acura Integra since they don't make a dual-gauge pod for these trucks. Had to cut, hack, heat, melt and mold to fit. Installed a water temp and a transmission oil temp gauge

NICE WORK!! Its kinda refreshing not seeing a gauge hose clamped to the roll cage!!Speaking of cage, thats gotta be coming up?? A friend of mine had a similar Toyota, he went with an exoskeleton, probably not what you want.

Looks sick! Nice clean work as usual... I've always preferred the Daily-Driver/Wheeler look too, nice to see some finesse go into a dirt machine.

BTW, is that a crack in your windshield?
