Anyone order from Aquariumsands.com lately?

Or I guess they're called Coloredsands.com now. I ordered from them about 9 months ago when they were Aquariumsands.com and everything went smoothly. Placed another order with them on August 24th and I still haven't gotten my order, nor a returned phone call from my voice messages or even an email back from the many I sent.

Was wondering if anyone recently had success with them.
 
The black sand I got sticks to my mag float.

Don't order from them.

I never got my sand, I had to file with my CC company to get my money back.

Called about 10 times, went to voice mail each time and I left a message each time. Emailed more then that and didn't get a single response.
 
Worst online shopping experience ever.Ordered 200lbs of 3m colorquartz of from him cheerful guy told me he had lots in stock.Sent me 140lbs of white beach sand.Insisted I ordered white sand even though the entire email exchange where I ordered the black colorquartz was reflected in the body of the email he had just sent me!Then refused to take my phone calls.Filed a complaint with paypal,they refused to do anything as he sent me something,so its a "quality" issue and not thier problem.He then sent my 120lbs of black sand,not colorquartz with more bags of white sand hidden under the black sand!WTF!All the while sending me angry and insulting replies to my emails,and refusing to answer my calls.After telling him the second short shipment of the wrong item didnt meet with my approval,he told me he never heard of colorquartz insulted me and said he wasnt going to deal with me anymore!:screwy:
Changing the name of his company and trying again is about what I would expect.
 
That guy bugged me and bugged me on another forum about buying sand from him. Emailed me a few months later wanting me to buy some from him. I kept telling him I didn't *need any. He had an AOL email address then. He swore he had dark gray 3M Colorquartz. But 3M doesn't make Colorquartz in that color. I suspect I'd have gotten the same kind of deal as gomezladdams if I'd ordered. The wrong color on top with some strange thing on the bottom :irked:
 
Just dug through my old emails.The phone # listed on the new site is the fax # from the old site.I see he has wised up and didnt put his name on the new site.When I had trouble last year another member here spoke up and said she had the same problem and he had just changed his company name last year as well.Wish someone could put a stop to people like him,gives the hobby a bad name.
 
Good to know before anyone puts in an order with such a professional business. Thanks for the warning.

Doesn't that mean there is a high iron content in the sand if it sticks to something magnetic.... or did i interpret this incorrectly?
 
Well, I placed an order back when they were aquariumsands.com and it went how it should - I paid, item was shipped, item was correct.

I needed to order some more of the same color sand as I wanted to use it in a bigger setup so I needed more. Noticed they changed their name to coloredsands.com but didn't think anything of it.

To stir the pot a bit I even contacted their shopping card vendor (as they are pretty picky about their clients and how they handle returns and etc.) and said some negative stuff about them. Since their shopping cart also houses their domain maybe if enough people complain they will just shut off the site so nobody else can order from them.
