Anyone out there dislike giant "kok"?

It seems like that's all you hear about nowadays. How much "kok potential" they have. I'm the guy looking past the big deformed males to check out the female fh lol

I'm def not a fan. It makes the fish just look uncomfortable. Kinda like a blood parrot that keeps trying to close his mouth but he just cant do it or a bubble eyed goldfish that cant swim in a straight line.

I agree but just so you know that there are plenty of high end strains without the super sized kok (for example Red Mammon) not just the low quality petsmart ones. Also many of the ones you see with these huge koks shrink down by about a third or more once you feed them a diff diet. Rather it is feed with hormones or some other reason i will leave that alone.

Big head is good. But too much of anything isnt good. That's why it's "too much".
 
I love the kok on a fh and the red mammon. Anything "freakishly" big though where the kok is out of the ordinary, I find ugly. But otherwise i find its like the mane on a lion, stripes on a zebra or the tusk of an elephant.
