You can't just go throwing saum types at someone asking for basic GT info :P
There are three species your GT could be. A true GT, which is unlikely, a Gold Saum, or a Silver Saum. Check the color on the edge of it's fins.

If someone knows nothing about basic GT info, would they be able to distinguish a true GT between a Saum?

All the information is basically the same..

They get big and they are mean..

What else would you like to know?

they only get to about 10" maximum they need atleast 55 gal tank, they can be quiet mean can you post some pics??
