If someone knows nothing about basic GT info, would they be able to distinguish a true GT between a Saum?

All the information is basically the same..

They get big and they are mean..

What else would you like to know?

actually saums are said to be meaner. and they get bigger. +++ there is a HUGE price difference. so, no, the info isnt the same.

Yes we have 8 f1 True Green Terror fry that we're growing out to form breeding pairs(groups.)
IMO a 60 tank would be a lot better for a pair than a 55 due to the wider footprint. The ture GT's grow a lot faster than the saums although the saums do eventually get slightly larger.

just a little correction- wild gt's have always been known to be a much more aggresive fish than the average saum, saums do grow bigger than true's though, priceing for true is fairly expensive, my 1-2"er went for $50 plus tax and shipping from rapps. but bassically the upkeep and matenince are the same for both fish.
