Anyone remember the huge tank thread??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The UK guy had his tank in the basement but it came up through the floor like a pond at the top of it.He fed the fish and got into the tank from the top...Is that the one?

The ray tank was taller than the width and it was fairly deep (I picture 7-8' tall, black background and 2,500 gls?). i think he would put on Scuba gear to clean it?

The in house tank was acrylic and a few members went over to help the guy out. I forget the gallon but I want to say it was 15-20' long (could be wrong)?? I just can't remember any of the members who went to help install. Its a thread in 2007/8 or so. I want to say state of Montana? I remember seeing red oak through out the home, ceiling, walls... barn type home?? Can't find anything on either of them, ahh.

I believe you might be thinking of Pat's (Arapaimaman) 15,000 gallon tank in Florida. The tank was built by ATM.

You're thinking of Jack's 4,500 gallon tank, labeled the "largest tank in Britain".

Jack is an MFK member, and has posted a thread on his tank somewhere on this forum.

Yes this is who I had in mind, don't know about Wes though he hasn't answered yet.....I think certain threads should be left as stickies so they can always be easily found.....

Guess it was Pima-mans tank, sorry :)

The ray tank, I don't think that's it. That one is a flat wall tank. The other one was either a corner tank or maybe an L shape? Don't remember but if I seen the thread pic I would recognize it.

Thanks for the help, I knew I seen it a while back but forgot who's it was :)
