That 525 is huge, I'm not a KTM fan, plus they're such a pain to work on hahahahah

450s just didn't cut it for me, and I have had a few. I used to love the old XR 650. Buy it for 5 grand then spend another 4 grand on engine and exhaust mods.Slap on a 4+ gallon tank and you were ready to rumble. Almost bulletproof but now they are more or less obsolete. I like the feel of a KTM big bore as opposed to a Japanese 450, although if geared right and with the proper lighting, I wouldn't say no to a KX 450F with a full on Dakar mod package.

As far as keeping a bike in the house, well, I have a wife that would frown on that. I can only keep a 40 breeder tank as it is.
