Anyone running large tanks with sponge filters?

Damn and those things filter those huge tanks. Exactly what I was looking for. How much did the parts for the corner filter cost you?

I paid around $425 for all the sponges to the 220s and 265s, then I got the kit for the 75 for around $115 because I wanted dual corners instead of the single. The jet lifters cost a few extra and I got the glass from a local glass shop.

I am finally learning to love and respect the sponge filter guess I'm late to the game. I have been adding at least one per tank in the last few weeks. So versatile and since I'm running some kind of air stone in each tank I figure it might as well be attached to a sponge filter.

I love sponge filters especially when your fish breed and you don't have to worry about them dying off. In my overflows and my sump I've had fry grow to 1-2" in there without me knowing it. They're Midas and very dark before peeling so didn't even see them.

I had an anemone grow to massive size in a sump of mine once and I hardly ever looked in there. By the time I found it it was bigger then the one it split off of! The more tanks I add the less I can see myself ever doing another salt tank. It's all about the fish for me and I don't miss any of that pain in the ass stuff.
