Would not surprise me, since both are Osteoglossums and weve seen more distant related fish breed..but I would think it not a veruy interesting cross. I go with JardiniBoy..More colourfull jardini's or leicardi's would be interesting...

and a snow silver...:)
A snow/black would be awesome too.

Thanks bro!

Snow's aren't crosses though ... just (very cool) color variants.

I'd be more interested in a jardini asian cross ;)

i most definately agree with that!!! :headbang2 ...you get the buautiful asian colors on the Jar, without the Jar's inner demon :FIREdevil ...im pretty sure everyone in the tank would love that, lol

Bro ... asian aros can be pretty demonic themselves!

My jar's a bit of a pu$$y, but some people over here even consider jars to be less aggressive than asians.

really?...didnt know, never owned an asian, actually never seen a real asian aro in real life before :( ...your Jar is a pus you say? i hope mine will be like that (leaving tankmates alone and such)...i just assumed that asian were less agrro then Jars b/c of videos/posts/and pics of asians getting along with all types of fish and other Aros..

thanks for the inside scoops from your experience though ;)

And you can assume that, Rob. JArdiniboys Jardini is not standard. And Asians are generally more peacefull..

And about snows I meant only that for me one would be far more fantastic than any crossbreed..

people should leave things alone and stop trying to play god

they have played around enought with the parrot fish lou han/ flower horn and RTCxTSN

if it happens naturaly then cool

i have no problem with diffrent color variant its crossing diffrent types of fish i hate

It's been claimed to have been done already (asian/jardini). Here's the post on arofanatics:

I think the pics have been removed, but the poster's avatar (robo) is the claimed hybrid.

I think an asian/jardini hybrid is possible, but the problem would be that the offspring probably wouldn't reproduce. I think this is the same as a mule. The male ass with the female horse produces the mule, but the mule cannot reproduce.

Another interesting side note is that the usfws would view a cross between a formosus and a jardini as a formosus hybrid, and any varient or hybrid of the formosus species is still illegal for import into the united states.

the only arowana hybrid i know of in ASIA are black X silver and hybrids of asian aros..... anyway the hybrids of Black X silver is the same price with pure black....
