they love anything dead.. and once they sit in a pile of dirt/sand for a day or two.. they will be dead..
the worms also really enjoy the biofilm covered sand..

and of course the fish really enjoy the worms...

a worm farm is the greatest thing ive ever had access to that is at someones house that does not involve me taking my pants off..

thats what you think.... i had mts in the substrate for 2-3 months dried... put it in another tank and they popped out... you cant kill them
