Anyone sharing in the drudgery of work?

I can relate to putting up with the heat. I'm a process Control Engineer. I have equipment in several places on the paper machines where the temps can surpass 200F. I have to follow OSHA guidelines to work in those spaces in time-limited bursts with a safety observer ready to jump in and pull me out if I pass out. Summers are the worst since leaving the hot temps of the machines means winding up on a 120+F tending floor for my cool downs.

I had a job offer one time at Budweiser running and maintaining their machines. it sounds like similar to what you do as far as getting into places where it's over 100F. I turned it down for another job.

I would've got beer at a discount but I don't drink so,.......

Lost my job of 26 years, Fridays my last day. It was shipped out of the country to Mexico, China, and Malta.
