Debating what to put on the temp pool/tank - it's 4700 gallons. Anyone use an ETSS 5000 skimmer? Looks pretty good, and I can plumb it inline, without a sump. Planning on using a big sand filter, monster UV, and this beast. Possibly ozone, but not sure on that. Thoughts?

Jabba they work work good, can be a little tough to adjust at first but you'll get the hang of it. I have a 1500 and 2 2500s. A freind of mine takes care of a 1500 gal reef that uses a 5000. I have seen it in person and it looks pretty sick. this one has the extension neck and its taller than me! I can find out about running it direct for you. The guy that owns etss lives about 10 min from me.
yup I am running one 2500 a 1500 and the biggest aqua C they offer. The second 2500 is not hooked up it will go on the 33x18. I am going to run all four till I can get a real monster. honestly on the pool your setting up a 3000 would probably be fine. are you looking at used etss skimmers or new ones? I might be able to get you a discount on a new one. Every one around here uses them cause the factory is right down the road.
I use the the 2500 and I know its a few models smaller but I am very happy with its performance, I got a good deal on it off of ebay. mine wasn't to bad to dial in, im still messing with it though every now and then, but overall a good skimmer for the price. Having to run the inefficient high pressure pump is the down side for me.
