I'm getting really tired of my touchy skimmer, cleaned the injector tonight by sucking water through it and now it's acting goofy till tomorrow. Time to get started on a new one.
Anyone use an ETSS 5000 skimmer?

What ever you do get the right pump for it. I found that the higher the pressure of the pump the better they work. You can also mess with the bio balls in the tower to fine tune things. oh and I found that any elbows on the discharge effects the way it foams. Other than that you should be smooth sailing
I just saw a RK2 25PE go for 1100.00 at an auction and it looked like new! I also read an article from a guy that had the same skimmer and he said its preformance was not all that good till he replaced the injector with a Reeflo Dart Needlewheel pump and then it was a whole new deal with lots more skimmate. Thats was a surprize to meZoodiver;4730047; said:We run RK2s on the big stuff.
