Anyone use filter media off ebay?

But wanted to know if anyone else has used it. Is it safe? I bought some from a different seller a few years ago and ended up not using because it felt "sticky". So anyone use this?

i've used similar in flat pond filters. i would immagine you could stack for mech in a sump. what kind of filter do you want this for?

Thats why I'm asking. The guy selling it also sells furnace filters.

I want to cut it and stick in my canister filters for water polishing purposes.
Just wanted to save a few bucks but not worth it if it affects my fish.

i use the blue bonded all the time... same thing buy it and use it...

I have used that exact stuff bought from that exact same guy. I didn't like the results I had using it in a canister(clogged easily), but it worked perfect for HOB filters and works wonders in my wet/dry filter.
