i like to use casting nets because u never kno wat ull end up with sometimes bluegill sometimes a big old carp and sometimes an awsome small or large mouth bass and sometimes crappie and ive even netted waalleye with casting nets before small walleye but the bad thing is they sometimes do damage to the fish but if u are really carefull and after u throw u pull in slowly u ussually can get them in safely as long as ur not just throwing and pulling them in as fast as u can u should be fine at least thats wat ive experienced in the past
